Berke Haddock Farms at golden hour

Since the 1980s

Real food, grown honestly, by one family

What began as a single field and a handshake is now 60 acres — still tended by the same family, still chasing the same flavour.

Leadership

Mehran Yusuf — Chief Executive Officer

Berke Haddock (Private) Limited

Mehran is the third generation of the family on this land. He holds a Master of Employment Relations from Memorial University of Newfoundland (Canada) and a BBA from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, with more than five years of professional management experience across Canada and Pakistan — including roles with the Canadian Red Cross and the College of the North Atlantic — alongside founding a technology startup.

He has since brought that training home: the family farm was incorporated as Berke Haddock (Private) Limited, and under his leadership it runs with the systems of a modern company — documented quality standards, fair employment practices, and direct farm-to-customer delivery — without losing the honest farming it was built on.

The company

From family proprietorship to Berke Haddock (Private) Limited

For decades the farm was run informally, as family farms here usually are. Today it operates as an incorporated company — Berke Haddock (Private) Limited — led by Mehran Yusuf as CEO. Incorporation brings formal accounts, contracts our wholesale partners can rely on, documented employment for our team, and a structure that can hold the farm together for the next generation.

Our journey

Three generations on the land

  1. The 1980s

    It begins with one field

Our grandfather plants his first crop on a handshake and a belief that food tastes better when it's grown with patience.

  2. 1990s – 2000s

    The farm grows

The next generation expands to 60 acres — adding the orchard, berry patch, poultry and dairy that define the farm today.

  3. 2024

    Farm to your door

Mehran Yusuf takes the reins as the third generation and brings the harvest online — same honest farming, now delivered fresh across Pakistan.

  4. Today

    Incorporated for the long run

The farm moves from a family proprietorship to a registered company — Berke Haddock (Private) Limited — with Mehran Yusuf as Chief Executive Officer.

How we farm

Patient, traditional, honest

Crop rotation

We rotate crops season to season to keep the soil healthy and naturally fertile.

Careful watering

Efficient irrigation means we use only the water our fields actually need.

Hand-harvested

Picked by hand at peak ripeness — not machine-stripped weeks early.

Grown with care

Patient, traditional farming with compost and natural inputs wherever we can.
