Patient, traditional farming takes longer and costs more — and we wouldn't do it any other way. Here's why.
It would be easier and cheaper to do what a lot of large-scale operations do: force growth, spray problems away, and pick everything early so it survives long-distance shipping. We choose not to.
Instead we rotate our crops to keep the soil naturally fertile, water carefully with drip lines, and pick by hand only when things are truly ripe. It's slower, and it costs more — but you can taste the difference.
Selling direct is part of the same philosophy. With no middlemen, we can be fair on price while still doing right by the land and the people who work it.
This is the way three generations of our family have farmed these 60 acres. We're not interested in shortcuts — just real food, grown honestly.
