What's in season right now on our farm

Eating with the seasons means better flavour, better prices, and produce at its peak. Here's what we're harvesting this month.

There's a simple secret to the best-tasting food: eat what's in season. When a crop is harvested at its natural peak, it's sweeter, firmer, and more nutritious — and because there's plenty of it, it's better value too.

Right now our fields are full of vine-ripened tomatoes, crisp carrots, and the first of the season's strawberries. The orchard block is heavy with kinnow, and our hens are laying beautifully in the warm mornings.

When you shop with the seasons, you're also working with nature rather than against it — no forcing crops in heated tunnels or shipping them halfway around the world. It's how farming was meant to be.

Our advice? Build your week's cooking around whatever is freshest. Visit the shop, see what we picked this morning, and let the harvest decide the menu.
