Where we deliver this

Delivery for this item is arranged directly — message us and we will tell you honestly whether it will reach you in good condition.

Why Sindhri comes first

Sindh is the earliest commercial mango region in Pakistan, and Sindhri is the variety that opens the national season. Tando Allahyar sits inside the belt the mango is named after, so our trees come in from about the last week of May — a fortnight before most of the country has fruit at all.

It is a different mango from the sweeter northern varieties. The flesh is fibreless and the sweetness has a clear acidity behind it, which is what stops it being cloying and what makes it the better mango for a lassi, a chutney or anything cooked. If you want pure sugar, Chaunsa in August is the fruit you are describing, and we would rather say so than sell you ours twice.

How to ripen it

It arrives mature but firm, which is deliberate — a Sindhri picked soft does not survive being moved. Leave it on the counter, out of the sun, for three to six days. It is ready when it smells of mango at the stem end and gives slightly to a thumb pressed near the stalk.

If the whole fruit is soft it has gone past its best and will be stringy near the stone. And the single mistake worth avoiding: do not put an unripe mango in the fridge. The cold stops the ripening enzymes permanently, and what you get is fruit that softens without ever tasting of anything.

How it is packed and sent

Single layers, never stacked loose — mango is fragile and the last mile is what ruins it. Same-day around Tando Allahyar, next day to Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas, and on scheduled runs beyond that.

We sell it for about six weeks a year and list nothing for the rest. If this page says out of stock, the season has not started or has finished; message the farm and we will tell you when the trees are close.

Storage & care

Ripen on the counter, out of direct sun, until fragrant at the stem end. Never refrigerate an unripe mango — below about 10°C the ripening stops permanently and it will soften without ever developing flavour. Once ripe, a day in the fridge is fine.

Product FAQs

Roughly the last week of May to early July. Our trees are in the Tando Allahyar belt, so they come in about a fortnight before the fruit reaches most of the country. Outside those weeks this page shows out of stock, which is the honest state rather than an error.
