Farm-fresh fruit from Sindh, tree-ripened

Tree-ripened Sindhri mangoes, kinnow and seasonal fruit from our orchards in Tando Allahyar, Sindh. Never carbide-ripened. Delivered fresh across Pakistan.

Tando Allahyar sits in one of the best mango belts in the world, and our orchards have been working it for three generations. The fruit on this page ripens on the tree, which makes for a shorter season and a less uniform crate — and for the only version of a Sindhri worth eating.

We do not use carbide

Most mangoes in the Pakistani market are picked hard and green, then ripened with calcium carbide so they colour up on schedule. Carbide fruit looks flawless and tastes of almost nothing. Ours ripen where they grew. Some crates are honestly a little ugly. They taste like the fruit you remember from childhood.

The Sindhri season is short

Our mango window runs roughly six weeks from late May, and the neighbours book much of the orchard before the fruit has even set. If you want a crate, message us early in the season rather than late. Kinnow follows in winter, and between the two there is citrus, guava and whatever the season honestly gives us.

Picked at dawn, handled once

Fruit handled in the midday heat bruises and turns. Picking starts at first light, each mango clipped with a little stem left on — snap it flush and the sap burns a black mark into the skin within hours. Fewer hands on the fruit means less bruising, so we pack in the orchard rather than at a depot.

Fruits — common questions

When is Sindhri mango season?
Roughly late May through early July, depending on the year's heat. The season is short and we sell against it — we do not hold mangoes in storage to stretch supply.
How do I know the fruit isn't carbide-ripened?
Tree-ripened fruit is uneven in colour, softens from the stem end, and smells sweet before you cut it. Carbide fruit is uniformly yellow, firm, and scentless. You can also simply come and see the orchard.
Can I order a full mango crate?
Yes. Crates are the way most of our regulars buy during the season. WhatsApp us early — the orchard books up.
