Stone-milled chakki atta from our own wheat

Whole-wheat chakki atta stone-ground from wheat we grow ourselves in Tando Allahyar, Sindh. Nothing stripped, nothing added. Delivered fresh across Pakistan.

Most atta sold as "chakki atta" never saw a chakki — it is roller-milled flour with the bran added back. Ours is our own wheat, ground slowly on stone so the germ and its oils stay in the flour. That is why it has a shelf life, a smell, and a roti that stays soft as it cools.

Slow stone grinding keeps the germ

Roller mills run hot and fast and strip the germ out, because germ oil is what makes flour go rancid — removing it buys months of shelf life. Stone grinding runs cool and keeps the whole grain intact. You get the nutrition and the flavour, and in exchange the flour is genuinely perishable. Ours is milled in small batches to order.

Our wheat, not bought grain

We grow the wheat in our own fields and mill it ourselves, so there is no point in the chain where cheaper grain can be blended in. That is the part you cannot verify with a bag off a shelf, and the reason people buy atta direct from a farm at all.

How to store it

Because the germ is still in it, treat our atta like a fresh product. Keep it in an airtight container away from heat, and use it within six to eight weeks — or refrigerate it if you buy a large sack in summer. If flour never goes off, something was taken out of it.

Grains — common questions

What makes real chakki atta different?
Real chakki atta is stone-ground with the wheat germ intact, which gives it flavour, nutrition and a real shelf life. Most commercial 'chakki atta' is roller-milled flour with bran mixed back in.
How long does your atta keep?
Six to eight weeks in an airtight container away from heat, or longer refrigerated. It is a fresh product, not a pantry staple that sits for a year.
Is this your own wheat?
Yes — grown in our fields in Tando Allahyar and milled by us. We do not buy in grain to mill.
